Cheesy Baked Bean Jaffles

Ahh, Just like mum used to make! These Cheesy Baked Bean Jaffles are a delicious hit of nostalgia. There’s something special about the simple combo of canned baked beans and cheese sandwiched and toasted in the ol’ trusty jaffle maker.

If you grew up in Australia then I’m willing to bet you’ve enjoyed a few of these bad boys in your lifetime. When I think Baked Bean Jaffles I think back to the days of being a kid, sitting down to enjoy my Saturday morning cartoons with a couple of these tasty jaffles in hand, not a care in the world! It’s always nice to be able to reminisce over good food.

For the people who haven’t tried them yet are in for a treat because today I’ll be showing you how to prepare these Cheesy Baked Bean Jaffles! All you’ll need is a couple of minutes, a few basic ingredients, a jaffle maker and you’re good to go.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bread of your choice. This will make you 2 Jaffles.
  • 1 small can of baked beans.
  • Cheese of choice. I love a blend of Mozzarella and parmesan for these Jaffles.
  • Butter.

How to make Cheesy Baked Bean Jaffles

For this recipe I am using my Sunbeam Big Fill Jaffle Maker.

1.) Preheat your Jaffle Maker.

2.) Butter one side of all four slices of bread and then place them butter side down onto the jaffle maker.

3.) On two of the slices, spoon over a good helping of the baked beans and then top with a layer of cheese.

4.) Complete the sandwich by placing the remaining slices of bread on top butter side up. Then close the Jaffle Maker and allow them to cook for 4-5 minutes or until golden brown.

5.) Be sure to let them cool down for a few minutes to avoid burning your tongue!
